Drivers already attending:

                Richard Attwood raced for the BRM, Lotus and Cooper Formula One teams. He was also a successful sports car racing driver and won the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving a Porsche 917 along with Hans Herrmann. The same combination of drivers and a Porsche 917 finished second in the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans, Richard now campaigns regularly at Historic Racing events.

                 Derek Bell MBE was extremely successful in sportscar racing, winning 5 times at Le Mans. He also raced in Formula One for the Ferrari, McLaren, Surtees and Tecno teams. Bell took part in the filming of Le Mans  where he had a lucky escape when his Ferrari 512 he was driving suddenly caught fire. Bell was awarded the MBE in 1986 for services to motorsport.

                Vic Elford "Quick Vic" In 1967 Elford was European rally champion. Among other victories he won the 1968 Rally Monte Carlo in a Porsche 911 and only a week later the 24 Hours of Daytona in a Porsche 907, He went on to win the 1971 12 Hours of Sebring in a Porsche 917K, as well as several 1000km Nürburgring races.

                Hurley Haywood won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1977 (Porsche 936), 1983 (Porsche 956) and 1994 (Dauer 962 Le Mans) and is the most successful driver at the 24 Hours of Daytona with 5 wins (1973, 1975, 1977, 1979, and 1991). Hurley is currently the Chief Driving Instructor at the Porsche Sport Driving School held at the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.

                David Hobbs A 30-year history of international driving experience at all levels of motor sports,   He made twenty starts in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. In 1971 he won the U.S. Formula 5000 L&M Continental Series championship. David owns a successful Honda dealership and acts as a Formula 1 commentator for Speed Channel.

                Brian Redman won the 1970 Targa Florio and the 12 Hours of Sebring twice, in 1975 and in 1978 His partnership with Jo Siffert and Porsche led to numerous victory’s and some of his most sterling drives.  He dominated North American Formula 5000 racing in the mid-1970s winning the Formula 5000 Championship three years in a row (1974–1976). Brian also worked with Steve McQueen on the film “Le Mans”.

                 Bobby Unser is one of seven drivers to win the Indianapolis 500 three times. He was the first driver to average more than 190 MPH at the Indianapolis 500. Bobby won the Indy car championships in 1968 and 1974. He also competed in the 1968 United States Grand Prix, driving for the BRM team. Bobby is also the undisputed king of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with 13 wins.

 

CANCELLATIONS  AND  REFUNDS:  Full refund of moneys paid will be made if cancellation is received 120 days prior to departure.  Cancellations received between 120 to 90 days prior to departure will be subject to a cancellation fee of  $250.  Cancellations received between 89 to 60 days prior to departure will be subject to a cancellation fee of $750.  Cancellations received within 59 to 30 days prior to departure will be subject to a cancellation fee of $1,500.  Cancellations within 29 days of departure there will be no refund.  Cancellation insurance is available and suggested.

RESPONSIBILITY  This tour is operated by Steve Austin’s Great Vacations in conjunction with Brian Redman and Intercontinental Events Ltd.  They reserve the right to make changes in the itinerary as may be found necessary for the proper handling of the tour.
