A completely new offering! THE GLORIOUS CORNISH COAST July 14 – July 21 8 days We are accommodated in cottages on the English Cornish Coast. The Cornish Coast Path is right outside our door and we sit between the two harbors of *Port Isaac and *Port Gaverne. While we will be doing some walking, we also will be touring this beautiful county by van visiting some of the most naturally gorgeous scenery in Britain. Based in Cornwall for seven days allows us the attraction of relaxing and enjoying the locale. It seemed only natural to make our stay cozier by using cottages instead of hotels. Next door to our cottages is the popular Port Gaverne Inn where we will be taking some of our dinners and enjoying the ‘pub’ atmosphere. A great chance to improve your ‘darts’ skills but watch out for the locals who are almost professionals!
As in all our tours we will be including breakfasts and dinners so you have no fear of having to ‘cook’ for yourselves although each cottage does contain excellent kitchens. We are also making bikes available to enjoy the tiny lanes that make for picturesque rides. We are limiting the number on this program as we want it to be a really relaxing experience. Each cottage has two private bedrooms sharing a modern bathroom, each bedroom sleeping two. This would be a perfect scenario for two couples traveling together or a group of friends. Couples traveling on their own should have no concern with sharing the cottages as they have privacy and also offer plenty of space in the living room areas, patios and breakfast room without ‘tripping over’ each other. *Port Isaac and Port Gaverne are also famous for their screen presence as Port Wenn in the Doc Martin TV series and for those of you with a long memory as the basis for the 70’s Poldark series. It’s natural beauty has attracted the silver screen for such notable movies as ‘Saving Grace’ and ‘The Shell Seekers’. WHAT TO EXPECT: A combination of some short walks (4 miles) and country touring in an air conditioned van. Some days will be all touring and others a combination of walking and touring. You have the ability to stay ‘home’ and relax in the villages or go for bike rides. Lots of old English pubs and restaurants plus visits to gardens and historic tin and slate mines.
WHAT’S INCLUDED: Cottage accommodations, breakfasts delivered to your cottage and dinners in local pubs and restaurants, pick-up and drop-off at Heathrow International Airport, touring by air conditioned van including admissions, bikes available for personal use, all tips and taxes, full time guide services.
