A combination of two great cities.  We start with Washington and then continue on to New York.  In Washington we have planned daily touring that includes all the main monuments, the legislative and a number of museums.  We also plan a trip out to Mt. Vernon, the home of George and Martha Washington. In New York we’ll have two backstage tours planned, a city bus tour and daily touring that includes visits to the Metropolitan Museum, the Rockefeller Center, Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.  In the evenings we have two Broadway Musicals of your choice   and dinner at the famous theatre restaurant ‘Sardi’s’.  Our hotels are luxury 4* hotels in the center of both cities and the tour will be fully escorted by Steve Austin.  To preserve comfort while traveling in our luxury coach we limit the group, there will be plenty of room to relax and stretch out. *we can also provide extra NY shows and adapt a NY only program for you.

Day  1   Oct. 22   12 Noon or later pick up at your arrival airport in Washington, D.C. Transfer to our hotel with remainder of afternoon at leisure.  Welcome drinks and dinner this evening.

Day  2   Oct. 23   Morning bus tour of the city with visits to the main monuments and the Arlington Cemetery.  This afternoon a visit and tour of the legislative and a number of  the museums.

Day  3   Oct. 24   This morning a visit to Arlington en route to Mount Vernon, the home of George and Martha Washington.  Back in D.C. a visit and tea at the Kennedy Center.

Day  4   Oct. 25   This morning we depart for New York City by long distance luxury coach.  Afternoon arrival at our mid-Manhattan Broadway hotel.  The remainder of the afternoon at your leisure.  This evening we dine at world famous ‘Sardi’s Restaurant’ in the heart of the Theatre District.

Day  5/6   Oct. 26/27   The next two days we are joined by an ‘actor/guide’ who will be our New York ‘font of knowledge’ .  We have slated, among the usual NY sightseeing highlights, backstage tours to the Apollo Theatre,  one of the Broadway shows plus a tour of the Radio City Music Hall. We also have a morning put aside for a visit to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island followed by a visit to ‘Ground Zero’.  Both evenings we have scheduled Broadway Shows, *please see info at bottom of itinerary.

Day  7   Oct. 28   We have left this day for your own private touring.  Whether it’s shopping, museums or just strolling this fabulous City you will find plenty to keep you busy.  We will be around to give you a hand finding things and will escort anyone who requires it.  We can arrange a third Broadway show for you this evening.

Day  8   Oct. 29   This morning we start our transfers to the airports.  If you are arranging your own air schedule we would advise flights departing after 11:00am.

Broadway Shows:  At the beginning of the year we send out to you a list of all the shows running.  You can choose any two of these shows. They are included in the tour.  You may also choose to add a further show which would be in addition to the tour.  You can call us for any advice on your selections.

Custom Tour:  Some of you may be interested in a New York only program.  We can custom this to your requirements but there would only be tour personnel available to you during the regular tour period of the New York section.

Washington, D.C. Theatre:  We are not aware of any productions at present playing at the Kennedy Center for our scheduled dates.  If there is something that becomes available we will inform you with plenty of time to get good seats.

WHAT TO EXPECT:  Fall touring on the east coast is usually mild during the day then dropping to the high 30’s low 40’s at night.  Almost certainly too early for snow or winter conditions.  A very popular time for theatergoers as the city hasn’t quite got into it’s Christmas mode of huge crowds of shoppers.  A big year for shows in New York – ‘Adams Family’, ‘A Little Night Music’, ‘Billy Elliott’ are the number one box office draw at present with ‘Race’ about to open and a number of additions on the skyline.  This is a busy program – a gentler start touring in Washington, D.C. then speeding up as we hit the ‘Big White Way’ of NYC.  We take all the guess work out of  your visit, making sure your valuable time is spent enjoying it all, not wondering what and where to go.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:  First Class hotel accommodations in the heart of both cities; Welcome dinner/drinks in Washington, D.C. and dinner/drinks at Sardi’s in NYC. Bus tours in D.C. and NYC plus guides for both cities; backstage tours of three NY theatres and entries to the D.C. Museums and the Metropolitan Museum in NYC;  two Broadway productions of your choice with top seating; visits to Mount Vernon, Kennedy Center, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Ground Zero and other city highlights; airport transfers and city taxes.

NOT INCLUDED:  Your air fare is not included.  However, we are offering to include this for an additional $350 which includes all airline and airport taxes.  We will book you out of your nearest gateway airport.  This needs to be booked with your Early Bird Booking.
